Our Board of Trustees
Richard trained to be a Chartered Accountant with Reeves & Neylan (now Reeves & Co) in Canterbury and went on to become a founding partner in the firm of Chavereys the specialist firm of Chartered Accountants who are currently based in Faversham.
Alasdair was Headmaster of The Archbishop’s School, Canterbury, for 25 years. Since his retirement he has been undertaking various educational and charitable activities locally and abroad.
Nigel has been a board member since 2009. He has been a full time GP in Canterbury for 22 years; he also works regularly for the local Out of Hours service.
Simon Perks is Canterbury and Coastal CCG’s Accountable Officer and is responsible for making sure the CCG carries out its duties and responsibilities to the local population.
Stephanie Bates is a corporate transactional lawyer with over 30 years' experience. She has advised companies and businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to FTSE100, operating in a wide range of business sectors.
Based in Canterbury, Terry was introduced to the hospice through his wife Maureen and has been a volunteer fundraiser for Pilgrims Hospices since 2013.
Michael worked in parishes in Manchester, Luton and York before becoming the Chief Executive of an international church charity which focused on the underprivileged and homeless.
Jenny currently works as a Professor of Applied Health Research, Director of the Centre for Integrated Care Research.
Elizabeth Sharp joins Pilgrims Hospices Board of Trustees from the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate where she is a consultant surgeon specialising in breast and skin cancer patients.
