Brown Jug Inn raises £1,500 for Pilgrims Hospices

Miss Jennifer Skudder, landlady at the Brown Jug Inn Ramsgate Road Broadstairs, along with her regulars raised an incredible £1500 from a Harvest Festival Auction last year.
Miss Skudder has been a publican for the last 52 years and has been a keen supporter of Pilgrims Hospices for many years.
Karen Kenward Regional Fundraising Manager said: “The support we have received from Miss Skudder and her regulars over the years has been absolutely fantastic. It will enable us to continue to provide care for all who need it, both within the hospice and at home.”
“We take great pride in the fact that all our services are provided completely free of charge. It costs over 9.5 million a year to support local people with life-limiting illnesses. We receive over 75% of our funding from the local community and it is entirely due to the kindness of people like yourselves that we are able to provide the care we do. Over 80p in every £1 is spent on patient care. We really could not run all our three sites in Thanet, Ashford and Canterbury without your help.”
