Dance Dedication raises £685 for Pilgrims Hospices
Posted on 13 March 2013
Members of the Dance Dedication class presented Regional Fundraising Manager, Karen Kenward with an amazing donation of £685 last week during one of their classes at the Dover Club. The funds were raised through quiz nights in support of Pilgrims Hospices.
Dance instructor Mick Hamblin said: “It’s a real pleasure supporting such a worthy cause, many of our members voted to support your charity this year through personal losses they have experienced themselves.”
Karen said: “The classes were wonderful. It really is a lovely way to bring so many people together and enjoy a fun evening out. We are very grateful to Mick and all the regular dancers for their support and making us their chosen charity of the year. They are already looking at two more events to raise extra funds for Pilgrims – I really cannot thank them enough.”
“Pilgrims Hospices relies on the local community to help raise £10 million a year to support people with life-limiting illnesses in east Kent. We really could not run our three sites in Thanet, Ashford and Canterbury without their help.”
