Kent In Focus April Winner
Online voters have chosen their favourite photo out of the brilliant selection of entries in April for Pilgrims Hospices 30th Anniversary photographic competition, Kent in Focus. Andrew Hicks’ atmospheric sea scene proved very popular with the online community and received the most votes.
Pilgrims Hospices has been encouraging people to get out and about with their cameras since the beginning of the year. With two theme choices of Kent people or Kent places, and categories for adult, youth and child there is a way for all to enter.
Judging the photos will be a team of industry experts who will decide on a winner in each category after the close of the competition on the 26th September. Among the prizes on offer are a location shoot with a top Kent photographer and for the photograph with the most online votes, an A2 sized canvas of their photograph on display in the Imperial Art Gallery in Margate.
Deborah Kellond, Regional Fundraising Manager said: “We live in a wonderful county with some varied and exceptional scenery and are supported by some exceptional people so why not capture them in a memorable image for Pilgrims Hospices to help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary.”
How to enter; Simply submit up to four photos online for a cost of £1.50 per photo on the Kent in Focus website. The photos will be uploaded to the Pilgrims Hospices Flickr gallery each month, where they will be ‘voted’ on by Flickr users who will leave the word ‘vote’ in the comment box under each photo.
