Online voters have chosen their favourite photo out of the brilliant selection of entries in March for Pilgrims Hospices 30th Anniversary photographic competition, Kent in Focus. Receiving the highest number of votes so far in the competition is Sarah Vinall’s stunning photo of a beach hut. Sarah’s photograph will be entered into the main competition which closes in September.

Ashford Sings Concert 1Choir raise their voices in aid of Pilgrims Hospices

Ashford Sings! held their second Big Concert and Quiz at the Ashford International Hotel on Easter Sunday. Building on the success of last year, they raised £3235.85 for Pilgrims Hospices.

Sandling Garden 1Sandling Park Opens Gates for Garden Lovers

For one day only, Sandling Park near Hythe will be opening its gates for the first time in two years in aid of Pilgrims Hospices to the delight of many garden lovers. On Sunday May 13th the Hardy family, who have created the garden over 100 years, will welcome visitors to take in the joys of the Grade II Heritage Gardens set mainly in woodland which formed part of the medieval forest of Westenhanger.

On 24th April 2012, Ben Newman begins his trek of 118 miles across the North Downs Way, in memory of his mother, Verity Seton and to raise funds for Pilgrims Hospices. Leaving from Farnham, Surrey Ben will follow in the steps of the Pilgrims for 118 miles, passing through Guildford and Sittingbourne, before arriving in Canterbury. [...]

The actress who played the formidable Cilla Battersby-Brown in Coronation Street has donated a simple cupcake recipe which anyone wanting to take part in the fundraising week from 21st – 27th April can bake.

Pilgrims Hospices 30th anniversaryPilgrims Hospices is biggest winner in 30th Anniversary Draw

Pilgrims Hospices kicked off celebrations to its 30th Anniversary year with a Grand Draw. Tickets were sent out to supporters at the beginning of the year and the lucky winners were drawn on 19th March. The draw has so far raised an amazing £80,000 for the local charity.
