Cliffsend pub The Sportsman has raised £350 for Pilgrims Hospices after holding a Christmas sing-along.
New Year’s Eve saw singer and acoustic guitarist Warwick Eldred and his son Joseph present the money to Karen Kenward, Regional Fundraising Manager.
Warwick said: “Thank you for all that everyone does at the hospice and the benefits you give to so many lives and families.”
Karen said: “The support we have received over Christmas and throughout the year has been absolutely fantastic. We are so grateful to everyone who took part in The Sportsman’s sing along. It will enable us to continue to provide care for all who need it, both within the hospice and at home.
“Pilgrims Hospices relies on the local community to help raise more than £9.5 million a year to support local people with life-limiting illnesses. I would like to thank everyone who has supported Pilgrims throughout 2012; we really could not run all our three sites in Thanet, Ashford andCanterburywithout your help.”
