The Wheatsheaf in St Laurence Ramsgate has raised an amazing £2,000 by holding quizzes throughout the year in support of Pilgrims Hospices.

The landlord and landlady Simon and Sharon Seaborne said, “We were thrilled with the response and support from our customers to be able to raise so much for Pilgrims Hospices to enable them to be able to continue to provide the care they do for the local community.”

Karen Kenward Regional Fundraising Manager said: “The support we have received from The Wheatsheaf has been fantastic. We are so grateful to Simon and Sharon and all their regular customers for their continued support.

“Pilgrims Hospices relies on the local community to help raise more than £9.5 million a year to support local people with life-limiting illnesses in east Kent. We really could not run all our three sites in Thanet, Ashford and Canterbury without their help
