Living for Today

Nurse helps patient with flowers at AshfordProgrammes of support for patients and families coping with life-limiting illness.

Facing so much change and uncertainty can cause a great deal of stress and worry and have an impact on how people cope with their day-to-day lives and the future.

Our programmes aim to help ease emotional distress, help you to find ways to cope and build confidence to adjust to the changes you are facing in your health and in your life as a result of your illness. Meeting other people in similar situations can also provide mutual support and becoming involved in new and different activities can help enhance your quality of life.

Our programmes are run regularly and usually consist of 4-6 weekly sessions per programme. They provide a mix of advice, information, guidance and activities. As with all of Pilgrims Hospices services, the programmes are free of charge.
