Moonlight Walk – A night to remember

A huge THANK YOU to the 1,226 walkers who made the 2011 Moonlight Walks in Deal, Herne Bay and Broadstairs such brilliant events! Thank you also to our amazing volunteers, sponsors and supporters who made these events possible.

You have helped to raise an amazing amount of money for Pilgrims Hospices. We’ll be able to let you know the grand total when all of the sponsorship money is collected in! If you’ve yet to do so, please send in your sponsorship money to Supporter Services, Pilgrims Hospice, 56 London Road, Canterbury, CT2 8JA to ensure that our patients can benefits further from your wonderful efforts.

Our three nights of fun, flashing lights and fundraising took place in Deal Saturday 4th June, Herne Bay on Saturday 18th June and in Broadstairs on Saturday 20th August. 2011 was be the fourth year that Pilgrims Hospices has held the walks and they have gone from strength to strength with many familiar faces coming back this year.

The Moonlight Walks are night-time sponsored strolls packed with camaraderie, flashing lights and laughter. Exclusively for ladies, the events were a chance to have a night to remember with friends and family. Many people chose to decorate their race numbers with photos and tributes to remember someone special to them. We also provided a memory wall at each of the walks where tributes were be displayed.

Broadstairs, 20th August

Our first ever walk in Broadstairs was a great success with 500 women walking on a beautiful balmy evening around the coast.
