‘A night to remember’

Students from Thanet College help launch the Pilgrims Starlight Stroll

It’s time to get ready for a night to remember. The Pilgrims Starlight Stroll is coming to Broadstairs on Friday 2nd August, all welcome, along with children over the age of 9 accompanied by a responsible guardian.

Friends, families and colleagues are being invited to join us for an evening of fun with a great band, a party atmosphere, a walk at your own pace and a great feeling at the end of the night that funds have been raised for the local hospice.

The fun starts at 7.30pm with the band ‘The World Famous Live InterSeptors’, who will be playing a mixture of all things music at The Pavillion, Broadstairs before the walk starts at 10pm. The 8km coastal route goes towards Ramsgate along seafront and back.

There will be also be a BBQ, food, a bar, hot and cold drinks and our signature flashing accessories available to buy.

Karen Kenward, Regional Fundraising Manager explained; “We have always had incredible support from local community for our charity walks and the men were also delighted to be included. You have to be there in person to see a wonderful sea of flashing lights walking along the clifftop; it’s just an amazing sight. So put your best foot forward and join in our Starlight Stroll this year.”

All of the funds raised from the £15 registration fee and sponsorship will support the work of Pilgrims Hospices which provides palliative care for people with illnesses that cannot be cured and support for their families.
