A gentle introduction to hospice care

Whether you are fundraising for us already, or are planning to support us. Our team is  on hand to talk about hospice life, our staff and the inspiring patients we treat.

We have experience of talking to young people aged between 5-24 years old. Please refer to the list of types of talks we’ve done below:

  • School assemblies
  • School councils
  • People Parliaments
  • School Houses
  • Sixth-forms
  • Citizenship classes
  • Informal youth group settings
  • Christmas Services
  • Cheque presentations
  • Appearances at special events
  • Focus day talks
  • Enrichment, RE, PHSE and Health and social care talks

We can also offer a tour of your local hospice, so that you can see the impact that our work has on people from your local community.

A passionate talk should increase fundraising success. It gives young people the confidence to promote the charity themselves, because they are excited too.

We really enjoyed meeting Geoff to hear about his personal experiences from the day hospice, we were inspired by his calmness and ‘live for today’ attitude.
