This one-day course is for teachers and family liaison officers at Primary or Secondary level who have or may need to work with a child/children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

As a result of attending the course, delegates will:

• Understand what schools can do to support children with family members or friends who have life threatening illness
• Explore pre and post bereavement issues affecting children
• Explore culture and spirituality in relation to bereaved children
• Understand what resources and support are available in the community for children and teachers
