Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a friendly Domestic Assistant to join our team to help keep our hospice clean for all those who work, visit and stay at our Canterbury hospice site.
As a Domestic Assistant you will work as part of a team to ensure our hospice environment remains clean and pleasant. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Various cleaning duties to a high standard
- Replenishing washroom supplies
- Basic record keeping
- Reporting of any defects or damage found on our site
- Safely disposing of waste
- Attending team meetings
The post holder must ensure that cleaning is completed to a high standard, in line with standards expected within a healthcare environment.
This is a part-time role (30 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury. Working days will usually be from Sunday to Thursday, with shifts in between 6:30AM – 13:30PM, however flexibility is essential. You will be provided with on-site parking, a uniform and subsidised meals during your work day.

- Approach tasks quickly and efficiently
- A flexible attitude to work in a team rota, sometimes changing days as service requires
