Domestic Assistant – Canterbury – 30 hrs/week

We are seeking well-motivated and forward-thinking professionals to join our team, in supporting the development and growth of our hospices across east Kent.

As a member of the Hospice Services team, the successful candidate will be involved in corporate day-to-day activities supporting the quality, growth and success of a much valued charitable organisation.

Key duties include:

  • Ensure all cleaning duties are completed as directed by the Hospices Service Manager and supervised by the Domestic Supervisor;
  • Emptying waste receptacles and safely disposing of waste products including specialist waste;
  • Replenishing washroom supplies;
  • Recording the completion of duties on cleaning schedules as required including the flushing of showers and spa baths;
  • Reporting of defects and damage as discovered during duties
  • Fulfilling any additional tasks or duties as directed by the Domestic Supervisor
  • Maintaining high standards of cleaning to infection control standards
  • Attending and participating in team meetings
  • Completing all necessary training including E-learning and personal development
