Domestic Assistant – Ashford (Flexi contract)

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for friendly, Flexi Contract Domestic Assistants to join our team to help keep our hospice clean for all those who work, visit and stay at our Ashford hospice site.

As a Domestic Assistant, you play a vital part in helping us create a peaceful and dignified space for patients and families during some of the most important moments of their lives. Your work helps ensure our hospice remains a place of comfort, calm and compassion.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help keep our hospice environment clean and welcoming. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties to a high standard
  • Replenishing washroom and hygiene supplies
  • Completing simple record‑keeping tasks
  • Reporting any defects or damage around the site
  • Safely and appropriately disposing of waste

You’ll help ensure our environment meets the high standards expected within a healthcare setting—where every detail makes a difference.

Working Arrangements

This is a flexi role with no contractual hours based at The Pilgrims Hospice Ashford site, with working days from Monday-Sunday. You will be asked to cover leave and sickness when required. No contractual hours, as and when required. Variable shifts, cover required on weekends so flexibility is key, and in return we’ll provide:
