Volunteer Kitchen Gardener – Canterbury

Location: Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for Volunteer Kitchen Gardeners at its Canterbury hospice.

Do you have a passion for gardening and fresh produce and a few hours a week to spare? We rely on support from volunteers to maintain fresh meal produce and a welcoming environment for our patients and their visitors.

We’re looking for reliable, committed individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and, although it isn’t essential, ideally have some basic gardening experience. Some of the key tasks include:

  • Seeding, sowing, planting, watering and harvesting of all the fresh produce grown, both outdoors and in greenhouses, to support the kitchen garden.
  • Maintaining the kitchen garden and greenhouses, including weeding and keeping the area tidy.
