Run Brighton Marathon for Pilgrims!
Join more than 8,000 fellow runners for an unforgettable experience and the achievement of a lifetime in the buzzing and beautiful city of Brighton & Hove on Sunday 2 April 2023 and raise much-needed funds for local hospice care.
You'll have the unique opportunity to experience the stunning city of Brighton & Hove along 26.2 miles of closed roads, as friends, family and the local community line the route to cheer you on.
New route for 2023
The organisers of Brighton Marathon Weekend recently announced exciting plans to change the Brighton Marathon route! For 2023, the route will have more of the earlier miles on wider, flatter and more leafy roads within the city, before heading towards the seafront, making for an easier start to the marathon. To achieve this change, the Basin Road stretch through Shoreham Port is being removed.
This means that the traditionally more difficult part of a marathon, miles 15-25, will take place within the ultra-supportive community of Hove. Runners can experience even more cheering, motivation and atmosphere to help get them through the 26.2 miles.
When running Brighton Marathon you'll get:
- Chip timing
- Inclusion on the mobile app for live tracking & results
- Finisher's medal and official event technical t-shirt
- Runner's goody bag
- Free race pack delivery
- Bag drop for participants
- Water & gel stations
- Cheer points, bands and music on course
- Access to the Beach Village and Expo with food, drink and entertainment, seminars, live screens and shopping
