Doreen Woods, one of Pilgrims Hospices community supporters, has this year raised an amazing £1,100 through a variety of events held in aid of the London Road hospice.
Doreen, who is from Shepherdswell, near Dover, along with friends and family have taken part in fundraising activities which included Knit and Natter sessions, a spring jumble sale, an Easter raffle and a regular slot on a stall at Shepherdswell market.
Doreen presented a cheque to Deborah Kellond, Regional Fundraising Manager on Friday.
Doreen said: “We’re delighted with the amount of money that we have raised from the local community. It is an incredible total and we are pleased that it is going to such a worthy cause.”
Deborah Kellond, Regional Fundraising Manager said: “We are extremely grateful for the continued support from Doreen. They have raised a fantastic sum of money between them and we are glad that they continue to support Pilgrims Hospices.
