Throughout the year, we host a number of community events and run a range of campaigns to fundraise for local hospice care.
Whether you're looking to remember a loved one, enjoy a sociable day out with friends and family or simply support Pilgrims Hospices, there's something for everyone.
Make a Will Month
Make a Will Month returns in 2024, helping you make and update your Will while supporting your local hospice.
Solicitor firms from our local community kindly donate their time and expertise to write Wills in exchange for a donation to Pilgrims Hospices. Participating solicitors each year can be found across east Kent, including Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet.
All money raised from Make a Will Month will be donated to Pilgrims Hospices to help people facing a terminal diagnosis, and their families, to live well in every moment. It is suggested that donations of £200 are kindly made for a straightforward single Will, or £300 for an uncomplicated double Will.
Sunflower Memories
Each July, you can dedicate a sunflower to your loved one at our summer remembrance.
Remember a loved one by dedicating a beautiful sunflower memory marker to plant in one of our hospice gardens, or your own garden. Sunflower Memories offers a lovely opportunity to dedicate a sunflower to someone you love. We'll write your chosen dedication on a striking sunflower memory marker and plant it in the grounds of your chosen hospice throughout July, or post it to you to cherish at home.
Sunflower Memories will return to our hospice gardens in 2024.
Pilgrims Summer Fair
Enjoy a fun day out for the whole family.
Our much-loved summer fair offers a wide range of traditional stalls; there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want to take a chance on one of our tombolas or just play a few games, there are lots of prizes to be won, plenty of food to be eaten and fun to be had.
Or, you can bring your own chairs and blankets and simply sit back, relax and be tempted with an afternoon tea, yummy cakes and a selection of savouries. Have a browse around some of the popular stalls selling plants, local produce and crafts, or our very own Pilgrims marketplace with a selection of many new goods.
Trees of Love
Dedicate a beautiful dove to remember a loved one at our festive remembrance.
Celebrate the warmth and brightness of someone special by dedicating a beautiful dove to them, and joining us at our Trees of Love remembrance events across east Kent. Trees of Love, east Kent's largest festive remembrance, takes place in our hospice grounds and alternative indoor venues throughout December. Dedicate and decorate a beautiful dove to your loved one, and join us for a remembrance with carols.
Trees of Love will return in December 2023.
