Trees of Love 2024
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated in Trees of Love 2024, by dedicating a dove in memory of someone special.
We were saddened to cancel our Trees of Love hospice services due to extreme weather conditions, but we were delighted to see so many of you at our indoor services, and hear how you were remembering your loved ones at home.
We are continuing to receive your generous donations, but so far you have helped raise £53,319. This amount is nothing short of incredible, and ensures we can continue delivering compassionate care and support to our patients and their families, now and in the future.
A special thank you goes out to the Westerleigh Group, Firmager Funeral Service, All Souls Church in Cheriton, St Peter and St Paul's Church in River, St Alphege Church in Whitstable and St Leonard's Church in Hythe, for their collaboration, and for helping to make Trees of Love such a treasured event for so many.
Your doves beautifully decorated the Christmas Trees throughout December, helping to shine a light on your heartfelt memories and the vital work that we do. If you would like your dove returned, please contact our friendly Supporter Relations Team on 01227 782062.
Jenny remembers her husband, Graham, by dedicating a dove in his memory for Trees of Love. You can read her story here.

Although I attended alone, Trees of Love was such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I struck up conversation with someone who was by themselves, and it was comforting to share the experience with someone who knew what I was going through.
Would you like to remember your loved one with a dove every year?
If you have someone special to remember each year for Trees of Love, you can sign up for an annual Direct Debit. This would ensure you receive a dove to dedicate automatically each year, along with an invitation to your chosen remembrance service.
£30 could pay for two complimentary therapy sessions for a patient, to give them a distraction from their illness,
and the opportunity to relax over the festive season.
£45 could help a Pilgrims counsellor pride a one-to-one session with someone struggling to cope with their
first Christmas without their loved one.
£100 could allow our community nurses to continue making home visits to our patients that wish to spend
their Christmas at home with family and friends.
Thank you so much for your support
Every generous donation from our amazing community of supporters helps to make sure we can be there for the next family who needs us.
