Our dedicated supporters raise incredible totals through their own events to help us keep providing vital hospice care.

Community events

From bake sales to summer fairs, quiz nights to concerts, we love it when you're inspired to organise your own event for Pilgrims. You never know, it might even become a regular rendezvous - each July, The Three Horseshoes pub in Faversham holds their annual (and very popular) wheelie bin race!

I had been diagnosed with cancer and, after two major operations, I got the all clear. I realised, “I am so lucky to be recovering, but others aren’t – I’ve got to give something back. We held lots of different events including collections in Sainsbury’s, a garden party and a sponsored walk. Our biggest was an art auction; it was a huge thing to organise but I can’t believe how successful it was. I hope we inspire other people to do what we've done, even on a smaller scale. Every contribution – large or small – really does make a difference.

If you'd like to talk with us about holding your own event, our community fundraising teams are on hand to help:

Pilgrims provide specialist care and services completely free of charge to people across east Kent; to keep that up, we need to raise more than £11 million each year. By organising your own fundraising event you can help us raise these vital funds.

Together, we make a difference. See how money you raise can help.
