Trees of Love 2023

Thank you to everyone who dedicated a dove in memory of their loved ones and joined us for our hospice and satellite services.

Throughout December, over 1170 of you joined us for the largest remembrance in east Kent. We welcomed all who had lost in loved one, to dedicate a dove in their memory, and join us for our hospice and satellite services with carols and festive refreshments, where your doves were beautifully illuminated on our Trees of Love.

We are delighted to announce that our Trees of Love appeal has raised over £54,000 with donations still coming in. This incredible amount could fund the entire running costs of one of our inpatient units for over a week. Thank you so much to everyone that took part, and contributed to this amazing amount.

It is still not too late to take part in Trees of Love. To dedicate a dove to keep at home, simply click below, or contact our Supporter Relations Team on 01227 782062.

For nearly twenty years, Vanessa and her family have remembered their Mum, Betty and Dad, Deryck, at Trees of Love.

Vanessa Oakley Parents

We've been supporting Trees of Love for 19 years and will continue to do so. It is such a special way to remember Mum, and recognise the amazing work that Pilgrims does, each year. I feel that when the lights of the tree are turned on each year, I feel close to my Mum.

Would you like to remember your loved one with a dove every year?

Many have dedicated a dove to their loved one for many years, as part of Trees of Love. If you have someone special to remember each year, you can sign up with an annual Direct Debit. This would ensure you receive a dove to dedicate automatically every year, along with your invitation to your chosen service.

£30 could pay for two complimentary therapy sessions for a patient, to give them a distraction from their illness,
and the opportunity to relax over the festive season.

£45 could help a Pilgrims counsellor provide a one-to-one      session with someone struggling to cope with their
first Christmas without their loved one.

£100 could allow our community nurses to continue making  home visits to our patients that wish to spend
their Christmas at home with family and friends.

Thank you so much for your support

Every generous donation from our amazing community of supporters helps to make sure we can be there for the next family who needs us.
