Band 6 Physiotherapist (part-time)

Salary: Band 6 - £39,595 - £48,117 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience).

Pilgrims Hospices is recruiting a permanent Physiotherapist to join the team in Thanet.
In this role, you will be a key member of our therapy team, working alongside occupational therapists in the inpatient unit, physiotherapy gym, therapy centre, and occasionally in peoples homes.
You will provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and treatment programmes aimed at maintaining or improving functional levels and quality of life. This may include complex moving and handling, non-pharmacological symptom management (breathlessness, for example), running exercise groups, and leading with the management of physiotherapy referrals across these services.
You will be responsible for supervising the physiotherapy assistant, and will have the opportunity to be part of a large, multidisciplinary team, working holistically and collaboratively to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

This is a part time role 21.5h per week at our Thanet Hospice. Band 6 – £39,595 – £48,117 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience).
Main duties of the job:
As a member of the wider clinical team, the successful candidate will be involved in delivering physiotherapy services across our inpatient unit and outpatient services.
Key duties include:
- Taking a lead role in advanced assessment and treatment of patients with life limiting illnesses
- Actively contributing in service development
- Being involved in the supervision and education of other health professionals
- Undertaking evidence-based projects and audits, making recommendations for change in practice and development as required.
