Make a Will Month, hereafter referred to as the “Scheme”, is a campaign where solicitors make and update Wills in exchange for a donation payable directly to Pilgrims Hospices.
Appointments are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. I understand that while Pilgrims Hospices will endeavour to assign my preferred firm, due to appointment limits this may not always be possible. Pilgrims will contact clients before a new solicitor is assigned.
I understand that on payment of my donation, I will be issued with a Voucher for a simple Single or Mirror Will, which is exchangeable at the participating firm stated on it for a Will writing appointment.
I acknowledge that my voucher must be redeemed during April, and an initial appointment must take place by 30th April 2025.
I understand it is my responsibility to read and abide by any terms and conditions issued by Pilgrims Hospices.
I agree that all details provided to Pilgrims Hospices within my registration are true and correct at time of submission and understand that my details will be shared with the solicitor of my choice to make contact and book an appointment.
I understand that I must make payment before an appointment can be booked directly with my preferred solicitor. Any clients that have not done so, will be directed to Pilgrims Hospices to make payment first.
Registration to the Scheme is only finalised once payment has been completed, either via the online registration form or by telephone card payment. If a payment made by me, or on behalf of me, in respect of the discounted fee, fails or is blocked for whatever reason, I will not receive my Voucher for a Will appointment.
I understand that my Voucher only covers a simple, uncomplicated Will. For estates containing more complex matters, such as a Trust or higher IHT liability, my chosen solicitor may charge additional fees, payable to the firm directly. I understand any additional fees will be discussed, and agreed, between myself and my solicitor before proceeding with the appointment. For a sample list of matters that may constitute a complex Will, please visit: https://www.pilgrimshospices.org/get-involved/gifts-in-wills/make-a-will-month/.
I agree
not to authorise or permit any third party to use my Voucher for the Scheme,
and not to sell, transfer or give any other person the right to use my Voucher/participate in the Scheme.
Any Client intending to cancel their participation in the Scheme shall inform Pilgrims Hospices as soon as reasonably practicable, so the appointment can be made available to another client. At their discretion, Pilgrims Hospices will liaise with the Client whether their fee is donated to the Charity or refunded.
I acknowledge that:
A cancelled appointment will be made available for resale as per the Scheme/solicitor capacity.
Any refund request must be received by Pilgrims Hospices prior to the appointment date. There will be no refunds for unattended appointments without due notice.
I cannot transfer my Voucher to another individual.
I understand it is my responsibility to make Pilgrims Hospices aware of any changes to the information submitted on the registration form. Failure to do so may impact the service made available to you by your chosen solicitor. This includes informing Pilgrims Hospices of any change of address, email address, or phone number that will affect the postage of Scheme correspondence. Any change of information should be sent to Pilgrims Hospices by emailing [email protected], or calling 01227 782060.
By submitting a registration form for the Scheme, I acknowledge and agree that my personal details provided will be used in accordance with the Pilgrims Hospices Privacy Policy.
Pilgrims Hospices are registered under the Data Protection Act and will never share, sell or swap your details with any third party for the purposes of their own marketing or the monetising of your data.
I understand that my details will be shared with my preferred solicitor firm, so they can contact me to discuss my circumstances, and book an appointment.
Any complaints in relation to your payment for the Scheme should be made to [email protected]. Complaints in relation to the service you have received should be made directly to the firm undertaking the appointment.
