It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Christmas is a time to enjoy the warmth and love of those closest to us. A time of giving, and a time to make lasting memories.
Pilgrims nurses will be caring for hundreds of people across east Kent who are living with an incurable illness this Christmas. Our specialist end-of-life care will provide comfort, aid independence and enable families to make the most of the time they have together.

Pilgrims Hospices Christmas Fair
Our Christmas Fair will return in November 2026.
There will be stalls brimming with seasonal crafts, gifts, delicious homemade refreshments, entertainment and games for all the family.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect present or simply want to get in the Christmas mood by soaking up the live festive music, there’s something for everyone.
You can also visit the man of the moment – all the way from the North Pole – Santa himself with his elves in his grotto.
Santas on the Run!
'Tis the season for the jolliest jog of the year and this year, Santa Claus and his friends are coming to town.
Celebrate the countdown to Christmas at Santas on the Run! on Sunday 13 December 2026.
Choose your challenge and dash your way along Herne Bay's scenic seafront in support of a good Claus.

Christmas Tree Recycling
When the festive season comes to a close, leaf the hard work to us! Our team of volunteer elves will collect your real tree from doorsteps across the Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford areas, and recycle it for you.
All you have to do is register your tree, and consider making a donation to Pilgrims, so we can continue supporting patients across east Kent throughout the year.
Trees of Love
Trees of Love will return this year to our hospice grounds with carols and warm mince pies, and various indoor venues across east Kent, throughout December.
We know this time of year can be the hardest for those of us who have lost loved ones, so we offer the chance to pause and reflect together with others who understand.
You can also take part by receiving a beautiful dove to dedicate and hang on your Christmas tree, or in a special place at home.
Donate an Hour of Pay
At Christmas, before you set your out of office for the festive break, we ask you to donate an hour of pay to make a big difference in the lives of those under our care.
By donating your last hour of pay, you will be helping patients and their families make the most of their time together this Christmas, creating special memories they can cherish forever.
Whether this is in one of our inpatient units or in the community, you will be part of the reason we are here, caring for those who need us, now and in the future.
