How we are funded
It costs £14 million per year to operate Pilgrims three hospices, provide our community services across east Kent and care for patients in their own homes.
The government contributes about 25 per cent of that figure but regularly reviews this amount, so it can never be guaranteed.
For the rest, we are very fortunate and extremely grateful that people donate so generously or organise dozens of popular fundraising events for us.
We are extremely grateful to all those who support us.
There are a variety of ways supporters help us reach our target, including joining our weekly lottery, visiting one of our 33 Hospice shops, fundraising at home or at work, holding an event, volunteering or taking part in one of the many sponsored activities organised by our dedicated fundraising team.
Every day we hear from people who have been touched by our services, and as a result wish to give something back in their own way. With everyone’s help, our services will continue to remain free to patients.
