Visiting our hospices
Pilgrims has three hospices in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford; all share the same philosophy to provide high quality specialist palliative care where it’s needed across the community.
Every Pilgrims Hospice benefits from the natural beauty and tranquillity of its surrounding grounds. The gardens are regularly tended by a devoted group of gardeners and include water features and wildlife areas are enjoyed daily by both patients and visitors. There is limited visitor car parking at all three Pilgrims Hospices*.

Our founding hospice was opened in June 1982 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother then refurbished in 2003.
We have an inpatient unit of 16 beds and a day hospice twice a week for approximately 20 patients.
The hospice stands within its own beautiful grounds, alongside a large three storey building that houses our administration teams.

Ramsgate Road, Margate, CT9 4AD
Pilgrims has been providing hospice services to local people in Thanet since 1992. There is an inpatient unit of 18 beds and day hospice provision for 20 twice a week. The hospice stands within the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother Hospital and is surrounded by nearly two acres of stunning natural gardens.

Hythe Road, Willesborough, Ashford TN24 0NE
Pilgrims Hospice, Ashford, opened its doors in January 2001 with an inpatient unit of 22 beds and daily provision for approximately 20 day patients, open 2 days a week.
Situated on the A20, on Hythe Road, just off Junction 10 of the M20, the hospice stands in four acres of land given over to formal gardens, featuring a lovely fountain and wildlife garden, complete with pond and meadow.
