Get in shape for the tri-hospice challenge
Posted on 10 April 2013
There’s only three weeks before the Pilgrims Tri-Hospice Cycle Challenge takes place on Sunday 4 May. Not only is there still time to enter to help raise money for the charity but you can join in specially arranged training rides before the day to help build up stamina.
So far, more than 360 people have registered for the event, choosing either to ride 45 mile or 75 mile routes between the three hospices in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford.
This Saturday, 13 April, a training ride will start out at 9.30am from the premises of cycle shop Biketart at Barham near Canterbury, for a 26 mile ride.
On Saturday 20 April, there will be a training ride heading out from the hospice in Ashford, also starting at 9.30am.
The last of the free training rides will be held on Saturday 27 April, leaving the Estuary View Business Park in Whitstable, again at 9.30am.
* More information and online registration can be found by visiting our Cycle Challenge pages. Online early bird registration for the challenge is £25. There is also a Pilgrims Cycle Challenge page on Facebook, why not get the lowdown before you meet on the day?
