Top 5 ways to support our Cycle Challenge

Posted on 17 April 2013

We’re gearing up for the Cycle Challenge 2013 in just two week’s time – and there are still plenty of ways in which you can get involved! The Cycle Challenge is one of the biggest events in the fundraising calendar for Pilgrims Hospices and the money raised goes towards the £10.5 million we need each year to provide services free of charge to patients and families across east Kent.

Whether you’d like to cycle or help out in other ways, the Cycle Challenge needs you! Here are just five ways in which you could show your support:

1. Sign up to cycle!

If you’d like a personal challenge and a healthy day out to raise money for Pilgrims Hospices you can register here. The cost to enter is £30 per person for the 45 or 75 mile routes. There will be an early bird registration fee of £25 if you register online before 01 May 2013.

2. Be a volunteer

If you don’t feel like cycling, we’d love to have your help with registration and refreshments and refreshments on the day. Contact to find out more.

3. Fundraise for us

We would love you to try and collect sponsorship money, but it is not essential. There are many ways in which you can collect sponsorship money from setting up your own online fundraising page, to downloading a sponsor form or using our text to donate number.

4. Promote the Cycle Challenge

Visit your local shop and ask them if they will display a poster in their window. Posters are available from any of the three hospices, or you can download one by clicking here.

5.Tell us your story

We would love to hear why you want to be involved – tell us your story and help motivate others to support the Cycle Challenge!

We hope that you will help us to make the Cycle Challenge a great event for all attending. We had over 700 riders last year, who raised an incredible £83,000 and this year we want to do even more!
