Digital Marketing and Communications Officer – Maternity Cover

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a smart and creative communicator to cover a period of maternity leave within its Marketing and Communications team.
The Role
As a member of the marketing and communications team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Pilgrims Hospices’ popular social media and digital channels, including its website; helping the charity to reach those who need its support, raising vital funds to provide a range of services for patients and their families, and generally increasing awareness about and supporting all aspects of the charity.
You will plan and create creative content and campaigns, building relationships across all Pilgrims’ teams and with supporters and service users.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join Pilgrims’ energetic, creative and committed Marketing and Communications team. Pilgrims is about to start work on several exciting projects, and you will play a key part in developing these to fruition.
Pilgrims put the service user at the heart of all its communications, so the charity is looking for an empathetic and articulate communicator with a real flair for copywriting who can tell compelling stories that engage its online audiences.
With good project management skills, you will have the ability to brief creative teams and possess excellent communication, research and analytical skills.
This role will suit applicants with empathy, enthusiasm and drive, as you will be encouraged to work creatively and really make an impact to the day-to-day running of a much-loved charity.

Working Arrangements
This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Canterbury. Working days will be Monday to Friday, with hybrid working after a period of settling in. You will be provided with free on-site parking, and subsidised meals during your work day.
About You
To be successful in this role you should:
- Have a keen interest in design skills, photography and videography
- Have experience in creative content writing
- Be able to understand and utilise social media platforms, and content scheduling platforms, to their full potential
