Salary: £21,750 FTE; Pro Rata dependent on hours (£13,050 - £17,400)

The Role:

We are looking to add a Finance Assistant to our small friendly finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller and working closing with our Finance Officer – Purchase Ledger you will be assisting in the accurate accounting of our income and expenditure for the charity,
This is a challenging and varied role which offers excellent exposure to a variety of accounts functions including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliations, and preparing monthly payment runs.
This post is based at our Canterbury site on a part time basis of between 21-28 hours worked over 5 days (Monday – Friday). The pro rata salary would be between £13,050 – £17,400 dependent on hours. Annual leave entitlement would be pro rata based on 34 days (including bank holidays);
An example of hours could be 10am – 2pm/3pm/4pm or 9am – 5pm 3/4 days a week, so is really a flexible working pattern, to fit around busy lives and offer a good work life balance.
About You:
In order to be successful in the role of Finance Assistant, you will need a strong varied accounts background, the ability to pay attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. You will have a confident approach to your duties with the ability to undertake a multitude of tasks as well as having excellent communication and IT skills. You should also be able to work with minimal supervision, be organised, with the ability to meet deadlines.
As the Finance Assistant, you will be an integral member of a small, but highly motivated, busy and friendly Finance team, which is committed to supporting the charity’s role in caring for some of the most vulnerable members of the east Kent community.
