Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent are looking for Consultants in Palliative Medicine to join our established multi-disciplinary team as part of our new Medical / Nursing joint led senior clinical leadership team.

We are looking for exceptional people with comprehensive clinical expertise and with a deep commitment to holistic care. From first assessment to the final days of life, our team ensures comfort and dignity throughout every stage.

As part of our clinical leadership team working alongside Nurse Consultants, our Medical Consultants in Palliative Medicine will also be supported by Speciality doctors and doctors in training and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. This clinical leadership team will:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care with expertise and autonomy.
  • Develop and maintain specialist areas of interest to support our clinical strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies and procedures.
  • Lead and motivate teams to thrive towards best standards of practice.
  • Contribute to research, evaluation and quality assurance initiatives.

To be successful in this role your will need:

  • Advanced palliative care practice experience.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
  • Supervisory and educational experience required.
