Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Tivoli Brooks, Margate

Status: Full-Time, 35 hours a week

Salary: £18,211 per annum

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for an organised Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Tivoli Brooks, helping to support the Warehouse Manager in the effective day to day operation and management of the warehouse, staff and volunteers.

The Role

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will support the Warehouse Manager with the day to day running of the Warehouse and Logistics Operation.  Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining effective stock management.
  • Ensuring that orders raised are accurately picked and supplied to shops as required, and that mail is delivered as soon as practical in accordance with van routes and schedules.
  • Ensure that the Driver teams have all the required paperwork for their day’s work.
  • Managing and training volunteers.
  • Carrying out warehouse administration particularly in relation to the preparation and loading of ‘rag’ items.
  • Ensuring adequate security is maintained at all times.
  • Following health and safety policy & procedures and giving training when needed.

The post holder must ensure that Supervisor duties are completed to a high standard, in line with standards expected within a Warehouse environment.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week)  and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Tivoli Brooks. The successful candidate should be flexible, able to work Monday to Sunday in a regular shift pattern and be able to do additional hours from time to time, covering sickness and holidays. You will be provided with free on-site parking.

About You

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Have significant relevant experience in a retail role.
  • Be numerate and work in a sales driven environment, using entrepreneurial and commercial initiative.
  • Have GCSEs in Maths and English.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and able to relate to volunteers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
