Ruth Herron

Ruth has spent most of her career in the NHS, initially as a registered nurse and more latterly in senior clinical leadership positions in both NHS trusts and NHS England. For many years, her focus has been the quality and safety of clinical services alongside the professional standards of nursing staff.
During some of her roles, Ruth has led on the development and provision of palliative and end of life services. She is a champion of the patient voice and is keen to ensure that services are co-produced with patients and their relatives.
Ruth lives with her family in east Kent and has experienced care provided by Pilgrims for family and friends.
