Local residents go green for Pilgrims

Last weekend saw teams of volunteers across Ashford and Tenterden collecting 2017’s Christmas trees to raise funds for Pilgrims Hospices. With over 1000 homes taking part, the band of over 70 willing volunteers and colleagues from local businesses collected 1200 trees. ‘Vantastic’ support for Pilgrims Tree Recycling

Local businesses in Ashford along with Pilgrims Hospice volunteers are getting ready to form one big festive fleet this Christmas to fundraise for Pilgrims. The colleagues and friends, who come from companies across the town including Givaudan, PSR Lighting & Signs, Medash, Countrystyle, Waitrose, Orbital Marketing Services as well as Pilgrims very own retail team have pledged their support to drive 19 vans to collect your real trees when the Christmas season is over as part of the charity’s annual Christmas tree recycling collection.
