Folkestone resident wins £2,500 in hospice’s Christmas Draw

34,507 pennies collected by Scout Group in aid of Pilgrims

Early in 2014, the 1st Cheriton Scout Group signed up to a blue box penny challenge with in aid of Pilgrims Hospices. Each beaver, cub, scout and explorer scout were given a blue cardboard collecting box and encouraged to fill it with pennies. The end result was £345.07 donated to Pilgrims.
