The Two Sawyers in Woolage Green decided to make a day of fundraising when Tom Hinton participated in Pilgrims Hospices Cycle Challenge last month. On Sunday 4th May 2014 Oscar’s Select played the Oyster Boys in a charity cricket match held at Whitstable Cricket Ground in memory of Denise Hall. Lang Court, independent living sheltered housing in Tankerton, have recently had a fundraising day in aid of Pilgrims Hospices raising £414.36. On the 1st March, 16 teams of quizzers came to the Ashford Volunteer Fundraising Group’s latest quiz night making a fabulous £682 for the hospice, a record amount raised for the group’s regular quiz nights.
