For the last year and a half members of Willesborough Conservative Club have been putting their spare change into a very large whisky bottle on the bar. Chartham Surgery put together a hamper to raffle at the practice. They sold tickets to patients and staff which raised a fantastic £280 for Pilgrims Hospices. Canterbury Flower Club raised £100 for Pilgrims Hospices through providing refreshments at meetings over the past year. Dickie Leitch, Director of DL Utilities, hosted an end of year golf day at Westgate and Birchington Golf Club on Saturday 28th December 2013 which raised £1118.73. Clients to Salon 88 in Broomfield were surprised to see some unusually dressed hairdressers when they came for their hair cuts last week.
