With the Ultra Challenge Series, you have a choice of 5 inspiring endurance events like no other, that you can walk, jog, or run in aid of Pilgrims Hospices. Whether it’s a 25km walk, a testing 50km, or the 100km ultra marathon run or walk – there’s a distance for all! These challenges are perfect for people of all fitness levels, offering softer options for beginners and the ‘ultras’ for those really going for it, along with those in between!ultra team finish

These are all inclusive events with an extremely high level of hospitality – including regular rest stops approximately every 12.5km with drinks and snacks, a fully signed route (you won’t get lost!), and hot meals designed to keep you going.

Isle of Wight Challenge

Great challenges need great settings – and there’s none better than the Island’s stunning coastal path. Past the famous Needles, Cowes at the half way point, on and right around the island for 106km – the Isle of Wight Challenge has spectacular coastlines, dramatic white cliffs and sandy beaches. All of the 2000 challengers will have their special reasons for taking it on, and all will experience a test of determination and stamina. It’s tough, but achievable, and highly rewarding. So join us and make it a May bank holiday weekend to remember!

London 2 Brighton Challenge

26-27 May 2018

Richmond, West London, Saturday morning and 3000 excited challengers eagerly await the start in the tented village. There’s 100 km of paths and trails, the North Downs, South Downs and some wonderful Sussex countryside before the coast line comes into view and the welcome finish line awaits down the home straight of Brighton Racecourse. The journey is amazing and with some training and determination anyone can conquer London 2 Brighton. Join us!

Cotswold Way Challenge

The magical Cotswold Way Challenge crosses areas of outstanding natural beauty, with fantastic panoramic views & picturesque villages. Heading out from the heart of historic Bath and 100km later with a few hills en route – it’s a finish line celebration in Cheltenham.

It’s tough but achievable – and whether you walk it at a pace that suits you, jog parts, or run the whole course, your challenge will be a test of determination and an unforgettable journey of self discovery.

Jurassic Coast Challenge

21-22 July 2018

A Poole Harbour start, then along the spectacular Jurassic Coast – a World Heritage Site since 2001. It’s up and down through Lulworth Cove to the Weymouth half way point, then past Portland Bill and the unique Chesil Beach to West Bay’s famous sandstone cliffs (of TV’s Broadchurch fame) – before a welcome finish line celebration in the vibrant town of Bridport. You’ll get full support and great hospitality all the way – leaving you to focus on your challenge!

Wye Valley Challenge

11-12 August 2018

Take on the dramatic landscape straddling the England & Wales border – an area of outstanding natural beauty. A Chepstow start then through woodlands and the limestone cliffs of the Wye gorge, with the magical twisting riverside path passing Tintern Abbey enroute to Ross-on-Wye at half way. You’ll climb Capler Hill to the Iron Age fort,  and traverse above the river before Hereford’s cathedral comes into view, and a welcome finish line after an amazing 100km journey with full support and hospitality all the way.


South Coast Challenge

25-26 August 2018

An Eastbourne start, up the infamous Beachy Head, through the Seven Sisters Country Park and along the South Downs Way. A Brighton midpoint, Devils Dyke, stunning views, sunset & sunrise all lie ahead before the Cathedral spire of historic Arundel comes into view a welcome finish line after 100km and an amazing personal journey. Thames Path Challenge

8-9 September 2018

An amazing route that’s steeped in history, and a superb backdrop for a festival of river-side challenges with 4 unique events! More than 3000 challengers will take on the main Thames Path Challenge following England’s greatest river – most will be walking, many will jog, some will be running, and all will have a special reason to push themselves. You’ll be fully supported all the way and rewarded with an amazing sense of achievement.
