Hand massage is an effective technique for offering comfort and touch in a non-threatening, non-invasive way to soothe and calm patients.
This half-day course covers the main techniques for offering hand massage as an important aspect of patient care, and participants are able to practise the techniques with real life ‘models’ as part of the course.
As a result of attending, delegates will:
- Be able to respond to patients’ need for therapeutic massage treatments;
- Gain practical knowledge and the skills of hand massage, and be able to perform a hand massage treatment;
- Gain an understanding about the benefits and any contra-indications.
