Touch Therapy: Hand Massage


Course description

Hand massage is an effective technique for offering comfort and touch in a non-threatening, non-invasive way to soothe and calm patients.

This half-day course covers the main techniques for offering hand massage as an important aspect of patient care, and participants can practice the techniques with real-life ‘models’ as part of the course.

As a result of attending, delegates will:

  • Be able to respond to patients’ need for therapeutic massage treatments
  • Gain practical knowledge and the skills of hand massage, and be able to perform a hand massage treatment
  • Gain an understanding of the benefits and any contra-indications

The course is designed to provide healthcare professionals and non-registered staff with the skills and knowledge to provide a simple hand massage.

An attendance certificate will be issued upon completion.
