Summer Fair fun at Canterbury Pilgrims Hospice
Posted on 26 June 2013
Books, plants, cakes, games and activities for the whole family are all on offer at this year’s Summer Fair! There really is something for everyone from live music by young local folk band, The Beards, dancing by Dance Warehouse and more bluesy music by Him and Her. A team from Hospice supporters, Stagecoach, are manning the BBQ with the bar operated by staff from Barclays in Canterbury.
Harveys Furniture, Whitstable Castle, Hotel Continental and Mount Ephraim have all donated fabulous prizes for the raffle.
This traditional fair will take place on Saturday 29th June from 12 – 4pm in the hospice grounds at 56 London Road,Canterbury,CT2 8JA.
Deborah Kellond, Pilgrims Regional Fundraising Manager, said: “I am really excited this year. We have a great line up with lots going on. This is a signature event on our calendar which very much showcases what Pilgrims Hospices is all about. We’d love the local community to support it as much as they usually do. We are still looking for donations of cakes, bottles for the tombola and plants, so please do get in touch.”
The Summer Fair is one of the events that helps us to raise the £10.5 million we need each year to deliver free care to those who need it most.
