This is a one-day course is for teachers at Primary or Secondary level who may have worked, or may need to work, with a child who has experienced the death of a loved one.
As a result of attending, delegates will:
- Understand what schools can do to support children with family members or friends who have a life-threatening illness;
- Explore pre- and post- bereavement issues affecting children;
- Explore culture and spirituality in relation to bereaved children;
- Understand what resources and support are available in the community for children and teachers.
