Voluntary Assistant – Wellbeing Team – Canterbury

Location: Canterbury

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a voluntary assistant to support our Living Well Group as part of our Wellbeing Team.

The Role

As the Voluntary Assistant you will:-

  • Support the wellbeing team with the smooth running of the wellbeing function
  • Provide refreshments for staff and patients
  • Be able to engage with patients during their time within the hospice
  • Help with general office tasks such as receiving visitors, filing, faxing, photocopying, scanning and processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • To use basic computer packages where this becomes a necessary part of the role
  • To impart a professional image whether contact is by phone, in writing or face to face
  • To volunteer as part of a committed Pilgrims Hospice team, dedicated to improving the services for our patients
  • To understand and follow good health and safety practices at all times

Working Arrangements

This is a voluntary role for one day per week (Tuesday) during the hours of 09.45 and 14.15. You will be based at the Pilgrims Hospice, Canterbury and provided with on-site parking and subsidised meals.
